They were super fast in arriving, super professional, super fast in diagnosing and repairing the issue, and fair in price. I absolutely plan on using them again.

Had a code on our generator app that it wasn't working the morning before a big storm was approaching. Called in & had the service manager here within an hour. All fixed and that's just one of the reasons we feel they are the best!

In April my wife and I decided to replace our aging heating and air system. Better to do it before needing to run the A/C. Also, with a fully functioning unit we could take our time looking at companies to work with. So, for several weeks we obtained estimates from four local HVAC companies. Of the four estimates, one did not follow up after the initial bid, so we were left with three estimates, low, middle, and high. Without going into details, we elected to go with the mid-range bidder, Carolina Climate Control. All of the reviews we looked at were positive. The salesman was very helpful and responded well to the questions we had. The owner of the company, Marshall Gay, even took it upon himself to call me on at least three occasions to see if there was anything he could do to facilitate the project going forward. The install went without a hitch, "snap off, snap on." Replace the old equipment with new and be done. Here is the problem, replacing an 18 year old coil and 10 SEER compressor with a new two stage 16 SEER unit impacts the lines carrying the refrigerant from the outside unit (compressor) to the inside equipment (coil). The two way lines or pipes are the life blood (engine oil) of the system. I asked repeatedly about these lines. I asked the salesman, who replied, they are checked, cleaned and tested. During install I asked the technicians on three separate occasions about the lines. I asked both when they were together at the blower/coil in the attic. I asked one of the tech outside hooking up the new compressor, what about the lines, are they OK? Did you clean them, did you check them? He replied they are good. I asked the other tech if the lines have been checked. He told me he was doing it right then. He was on an ipad like device! At no time did anyone go under the house and inspect the lines. They did not check them or for that matter, measure the length. How did they know if they would support this new system? How did they know how much refrigerant to load into the system? They installed in record time. No problems that I could determine. After the install, no one called me to ask how things went. . After being contacted multiple times a day before the install, I heard nothing afterward. No problem, I just figured they thought no news is good news. The end of June I discovered the lines that were not checked were leaking water all throughout our crawlspace. This was not what I would consider normal condensation, this was dripping water. I called Carolina Climate Control. They came out on 1 Jul and inspected the lines. They needed to be re insulated. I wanted to know to know why this not done as part of the install. I called Carolina Climate Control two times between 1 Jul and 9 July leaving a message for the owner, Marshall Gay. My advice, insist the HVAC company physically look at this critical component of the system. Not doing so could result in damage to your home and premature breakdown of the unit. Once the owner was made aware of the problem, he called and promised to "make it right." A crew came out the following week and re insulated the pipe. Will see if the job fixes the problem. If the fix holds, will award 5 stars, for now 4.
